Scarbrough Fair Danes has been breeding harlequins, blacks, mantles, and merles since 1970. We have been importing since 1989 and breed only European bloodlines. We would like to tell you about our new litter but would also like to take this opportunity to thank Barbara Rettig, Liberte Danes, Germany for all of the many wonderful dogs we have imported from her kennel since 1989. We prefer to place ALL of our pups in approved PET homes, so pet folks don’t need to be nervous about calling. All callers are encouraged to have a list of questions ready for us too.

We have a litter of 8 pups from Whoopi Liberte (German Import) bred to Scarbrough’s Gonzo. Pups were born on 5-30-10 and will be ready to go to their new homes in late July. We have three harl males, one pet marked black male, and 4 mantle females available. All pups come with our guarantee.

I am a trainer; a vet tech; a retired canine behavior specialist, as well as a professional breeder. All telephone consulting needed by our buyers is provided at no charge.

Parents and pups can also be seen on our website http://www.greatdanes.net or in the Danes on Line litterbox. For people in or driving through Atlanta, we show our Danes every Saturday by appointment. We always encourage visitations, whether or not we have available puppies. Give us a call the Thursday or Friday before the Saturday you want to visit and bring a list of questions with you.

We want our pups new "parents" to pick up so that they can see their puppy's environment and meet the pup’s mom and other relatives. We will ship but only when the buyers fly in for pick up and can fly the pups back with them in the passenger compartment of the plane. Our pups are large and can only fit into a soft sided carry on for transport in the passenger’s compartment of a plane the FIRST week that we allow them to leave for their new homes.

Another benefit you receive from picking up: we teach you how to finalize your pup’s house training and how to have your pup trained to sit, come, heel, stay, and drop within 10 days of taking the pup home (working only 15 minutes a day).
